A child in a valley east of the Black Mountains learns what an army sounds like before she learns what a sword is for. Years later a gatherer named Evliit is given a blade he means to sell, rides home to show Jenna, and finds Harot already under the tents. The last image of the hour is not a title card. It is a name burned into him.
